Applefest - Sat., Sept. 27, 2008

Horsedrawn wagon rides through the orchard.

Join us on the last Saturday of September as we host Applefest from 10am until 5pm. This one day festival is geared to providing families an old-fashioned day at the orchard. We have horse-drawn wagon rides through the orchard, pony rides, a petting farm, a hay maze, a field maze, caramel apple bar, lots of food, a Johnny Appleseed story-telling area, and lots of smiles. Throughout the day you can experience the best of original bluegrass music provided by "Notes from the Past". There's a nominal admission cost and free parking. Make sure you bring your camera and be ready to make a memory.

Applebutter Stir and Horseradish Grind - Sat., Oct. 25, 2008

We'll be lighting the wood fire under our kettle about 7am on the last Saturday in October. That will leave us about the next 7 hours to share stirring duties. Hopefully around 2pm we should be taking off some of the best applebutter you've ever tasted. We'll have canned jars available late in the day.

At the same time we will be grinding our horseradish crop. Horseradish is a root which when ground gives off the most pungent smell around. It's an experience you won't won't to miss. Then take home a jar or two of our "Hot as Hades Horseradish" to share with someone you love.

Make sure you bring the kids to these "living history" experiences!
